Deborah visits Clinique at The Bay

A trip to the beauty counter can be a daunting and intimidating experience. So many products on display! It can be difficult to decide which ones to choose. Global beauty giant Clinique recently unveiled their latest consumer inspired concept downtown at The Bay. Clinique offers a guided self-service experience in the form of an iPad. You scroll through and answer a 90-second computer-guided skin care analysis and viola! All the thinking is done for you. At the end of the questionnaire, a list of products best suited for your skin type shows up on the screen. You will also receive a printout of these suggestions and can even email it to yourself. While you are sat at the bar, you can swivel the display table, just like a sushi bar, (another first) and try out the products. Hassle free and at your leisure. I like it already! I also had the opportunity to chat with Sara Whittaker, National Director of Education at Clinique Canada, and asked her about the latest trends and technology in the field of skincare and makeup. Sara is passionate about her work and is a wealth of knowledge. Sara says skincare and makeup need not be a chore. Taking care of one’s skin is literally as easy as 1, 2, and 3. In fact, Sara showed me her top three must-have products. After playing with the iPad and getting a mini consultation with Vicky, I came away more confident about how to best treat my skin and which products work for me. I also fell in love the Chubby Sticks and literally wanted to take the whole thing home. Girls never have enough lipstick! [video:1354558836985]
